Trump Guilty On All 34 Felony Counts

Updated: Jun 3, 2024

"Teflon Don" no more. May 30, 2024 will go down in history as Trump becomes the first former American President to be convicted of a felony. The jury deliberated for less than 10 hours after a six-week trial that included testimony from 22 witnesses, with Trump being held in contempt of court for violating a gag order 10 times. The jury agreed unanimously that Trump was guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsification of business records in the first degree, which is a felony in New York. He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned last year.

Back in 2017, Trump's former "fixer" and lawyer, Michael Cohen and Allen Weisselberg, the former CFO of the Trump Organization, reached an agreement about how Cohen would be repaid for the $130,000 that he sent to Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence. Weisselberg detailed the calculations of the repayment to Cohen in handwritten notes that were shown to the jury at trial.
