At the forefront of our mission is the undeniable commitment to the pursuit of women’s rights. We champion the right to autonomy over one’s body, including the right to accessible and safe reproductive healthcare, including the right to abortion. Every individual must have the power to make decisions regarding their own body. We must allow all Americans to be free from undue interference from lawmakers, making decisions that should be left to the individual, to healthcare professionals, and to qualified doctors. Moreover, we cannot ignore the importance of IVF rights by acknowledging the journey of those seeking to build their families through assisted, reproductive technologies. Every individual and family deserves the opportunity to pursue parenthood without barriers or interference by the government.
In our pursuit for a more just and equitable society, we recognize the importance of universal healthcare as a fundamental human right. Access to quality healthcare should not be determined by one’s socioeconomic status, but should be guaranteed to all individuals, regardless of their position or situation.
Central to our vision of a fair, just, and equitable society is the recognition and protections of LGBTQIA+ rights. We celebrate life in all its forms and affirm the right of every individual to live authentically, free from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. We champion marriage equality, affirming the right of all Americans to marry whom they love and receive equal recognition and benefits, in every state, under the law.
We are firmly committed to upholding the First Amendment. We defend the rights of all Americans to freedom of speech, religion, and assembly, ensuring that diverse voices are heard and respected in the public sphere.
We advocate for comprehensive gun control rights and measures to address the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our communities and our schools. We continue to believe in common-sense gun reforms that prioritize public safety while respecting the rights of responsible gun ownership.
In our pursuit of justice for all, we are resolute in our dedication to civil rights, recognizing that every person deserves equal treatment, protection, and equal rights under the law. We stand in solidarity with marginalized communities, committed to dismantling systemic racism, discrimination, oppression, and fostering inclusivity in all aspects of American society.
That is why it is essential that we protect and expand voting rights, above all, to uphold and protect the integrity of our democratic process. We advocate for free and fair elections—accessible to all eligible voters. We reject any efforts to suppress voter participation by Gerrymandering, discriminatory voter ID laws, attacks on voter registration, last-minute election day barriers, unlawful voter purges, limitations on mail-in voting and early voting, polling place closures, and putting an end to all other forms of voter intimidation, restrictions, and suppression laws that have been passed by the MAGA Republicans.
Since the 2020 election, the norms of political discord, and the fundamental rights of the American people in this country have been dismantled and eliminated—primarily by illegal means. We must inform our electorate and every American voter that the Democratic Party will no longer be just reactive to these injustices and inequalities, but will now introduce and initiate legislation to restore the fundamental rights and liberties of the American people, which have defined our nation since 1776.
We are facing a grave threat to the very existence of our American democracy and our constitutional protections. Whether fighting for working families, protecting voting rights, religious freedom rights, women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, reproductive rights, civil rights, healthcare rights, education rights, marriage equality rights, the right to free and fair elections, restoring environmental protections, and safeguarding our children with common-sense gun laws, Democrats must ROAR!
